We are surrounded with water and mountains so looking in most any direction will yield the most wonderful views. The lifestyle is slower, more evenly paced than in other areas. You can typically get most anywhere on the peninsula within 30 to 40 minutes.
Our area can be accessed in one of 4 ways, via one of 4 different ferry routes from the east, the Tacoma Narrows Bridge from the south or if you are coming from the west you would take either Highway 3 through Belfair or from Jefferson county across the worlds longest floating bridge (on tidal waters) which crosses the Hood Canal.
If you are a boater we have some of the most magnificent waterways and some wonderful marinas. Names like Hood Canal, Port Orchard Narrows, Dyes Inlet and Dabob Bay will beckon you from the charts, calling you on to your next marine adventure. If you are into the the slower pace of kayaking than you have reached nirvana. Olympic Outdoor Center has kayak rentals in Poulsbo and Seabeck. Go ahead...take a sunset tour, it could change your life. You too may want to buy a home and stay here.

Each captures a different slice of life if you just take the time to drink it all in.
